The ADM00556 is an evaluation board that supports off-line DC/DC and AC/DC switching power supplies (SMPS). It is a user friendly tool that provides a platform from which engineers can test and evaluate these types of power supplies.The SMPS board comes with extensive documentation and can be used for projects ranging from the prototyping of new designs to the testing of existing ones. It can be used to troubleshoot and optimize existing SMPS designs, as well as to create new ones. The board is designed to work with a wide range of input powers from 120VAC to 240VAC. It offers advanced features such as programmable over-voltage and over-current protection, as well as automatic phase-lock loop (PLL) regulation. It also includes an adjustable soft start feature and a temperature compensation circuit.The main components of the ADM00556 are its switching power supply module, as well as the control board and the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for interfacing with the host-computer.
