The ADM00433 is an evaluation board from Analog Devices that is part of their DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS product offerings. The emphasis of the board is on providing a platform for evaluating power stages and for verifying that the overall system design meets the design requirements.The most impressive feature of the ADM00433 is its ability to provide a wide range of output voltages and to optimize the power stage operation for the best efficiency and power dissipation possible. It also provides robust protection features such as under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal protection. Furthermore, by being flexible and adaptable to different environmental conditions, it allows the design of power systems with robust and reliable operation.The ADM00433 evaluation board is based on the ADM0043 chip which provides a variety of features to the user such as an On/Off Control signal, a PWM Control signal, a voltage selection option, and a power save mode. The On/Off Control signal is used to enable and disable the power stage, the PWM Control signal controls the output voltage, and the voltage selection option allows for the selection of a lower voltage output for applications such as POE. The power save mode shuts off the power stage if it is no longer needed such as during standby or low power mode.The ADM00433 evaluation board is also designed for ease of use, with intuitive features for quick setup and testing.
