The two channels have separate current and temperature settings, with a low-turn-on temperature threshold that allows the supervisor to start up in low-temperature environments, and a high-turn-off temperature threshold to protect against thermal overloads.The supervisor offers a wide operating temperature range, and is able to monitor input voltages from 3.3V to 24V. The device is programmable, allowing the user to set threshold voltages, tolerances, and time delays and filter characteristics. When an abnormal or hazardous condition is detected, the ADM1060ARU will shut down the hot-swapped load to protect the downstream system.The ADM1060ARU’s fault-detection circuitry can be configured so that it will take action to protect the system when an over-current, over-temperature, under-voltage, or over-voltage condition is detected.
