<p>The ADM6315-46D1ARTRL7 is a power management IC designed by ADMtek. It is classified as a PMIC - Supervisors because of its ability to monitor, sequence and control power for system safety. This device helps to safeguard computer systems,LAN/communication products, industrial and consumer control applications, mobile phone and peripheral products. </p><p>The ADM6315-46D1ARTRL7 has two main functions, a power surge protector and power supply monitor. It has an integrated dual-channel output overvoltage protection. It has seven input voltage detection, supervision and system reset capability. It also has a real-time temperature detection and alarm, system reset, power supply ON/OFF control and the ability todo sequential power on.</p><p>The ADM6315-46D1ARTRL7 works through three major stages. The first stage is the power supply stage. In this stage, the chip receives the input voltage,from the power supply,through the VSEN input pin, and monitors the voltage against the voltage set point stored in the chip using the UV, OV, and UV/OV comparators. The chip also measures the temperature through the TEMP pin, and if the temperature rises beyond the pre-set temperature limit, a thermostat activated reset occurs.</p><p>The second stage is the surge protection stage. This stage includes a programmable over-voltage detector for protecting the circuit from voltage spikes and surges. It also includes an OL protection circuit for short-circuit protection.</p><p>The third stage is the system monitoring and control stage. This stage includes the voltage regulator, power controller, and power-supply monitoring circuits. The voltage regulator is designed to maintain a constant output voltage when the input voltage changes, and it is adjustable. The power controller enables the user to control the power supply by controlling the output current according to the set point. The power supply monitoring circuit can detect the power supply status and warning in the fault conditions based on the input and output voltage, the effect of the temperature, and the difference between the output voltage and the target voltage.</p><p>ADM6315-46D1ARTRL7 has a wide range of applications. It limits the maximum output voltage level and provides protection for systems against over-voltage, over-load and over-temperature conditions. It is used in applications such as computer systems, LAN/communication products, industrial and consumer control applications, mobile phones, and peripheral products.</p><p>The working principle of the ADM6315-46D1ARTRL7 is based on the principle of voltage regulation, power control, and power monitoring.
