The ADP3650JRZ is a high side, low side and boost power switch tailored for automotive applications. It is able to give two P-Channel and two N-Channel power switches to control power operations with an adjustable slew rate to minimize inrush current when switching on and off. Additionally, two CMOS inputs that can be internally connected to two different PWM signals allow an external driver to control the power switch although it can also be operated in stand-alone mode when the external PWM drivers are not used.It is suitable for general purpose applications such as gate drivers for MOSFET and IGBT devices, HV DC-DC converters, lighting control and motor control. The extremely robust operating conditions and increased safety due to the temperature foldback protection and excellent thermal management of the device, makes the ADP3650JRZ a perfect fit for automotive applications.This device belongs to the PMIC – Gate Drivers family. PMIC – Gate Drivers are integrated gate driver circuits that can be used with high-current and high voltage outputs such as those commonly found in automotive applications. They generally consist of two drivers that work with each other, one drivers controls the low-side switch, and the other one the high-side switch. The ADP3650JRZ has two independent input/output driver circuits, one for high-side and the other for low-side operation, enabling the power switch to change from high-side to low side, thus allowing the user to optimize the electrical load. Its 40V source voltage clamp assists in reliable operation over the wide input voltage range. The versatile device consists of two P-Channel and two N-channel Power MOSFETs, with a programmed adjustable voltage control crossover for higher than rail voltage control for the high side driver. The device also includes a low side ground Short circuit protection that can be disabled when an external high side current sense circuit is used. The device also features integrated fault protection functions with a programmable diagnostic delay ramp, a fast turn-off propagation delay and over temperature monitoring with thermal shift compensation.The ADP3650JRZ includes a protective common-mode ground clamp that improves robustness against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and noise associated with the power rails.The ADP3650JRZ is a low-side and high-side switch that can be used to control power operations. It is ideal for a wide range of applications, from HV DC-DC converters, to lighting control and motor control. Its efficient design makes it an excellent choice for automotive applications due to its robustness and enhanced safety features, as well as its wide input voltage range and adjustable slew rate for minimal inrush current.
