The ADP3110AKRZ is a Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) that belongs to the family of Gate Drivers. This device is capable of providing gate drive capability to gate-controlled switches such as FETs, IGBTs, and BJTs, with excellent performance. It contains the following features: drive pins for up to four N-channel MOSFETs, low on-resistance gate drive, over-current and short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and programmable soft start. The first bridge, referred to as the lower half-bridge, is composed of two low-side switches that are connected together and driven by a common gate driver circuit. The second bridge, referred to as the upper half-bridge, is composed of two high-side switches that receive the same gate drive signals from the common gate driver circuit. Both half-bridges are capable of providing up to 40 amps of output current.The ADP3110AKRZ is optimized for use in synchronous buck, basic half-bridge and full-bridge converter configurations. It features over-current and short-circuit protection, as well as an adjustable soft-start feature that helps reduce inrush current during power-on. It also includes open load and short circuit detection, as well as an adjustable current limit set point.The gate-driver of the ADP3110AKRZ is capable of providing up to 2.5A of gate drive current and is designed to drive n-channel MOSFETs up to 32V. It features independent enable pins for each half-bridge, and an adjustable output voltage range from 5V to 24V. The device works on a wide input voltage range from 5V to 36V and operates over a temperature range of -40 to +85 degree Celsius. Its logic-level enable pins ensure immediately active and quiet switching with fast response times.The ADP3110AKRZ can be used to efficiently power a variety of power conversion needs.
