Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also referred to as “electrolytic capacitors” or sometimes just “capacitors,” are components used to store electrical energy in a circuit. These components are composed of two metal plates flexibly arranged in an electrolyte solution, with the anode being the metal plate with a thicker coating and the cathode being the metal plate with a thinner coating. As electrical current passes through the cells, an electric field builds up between the plates, causing electrical charges to be stored.
