Working Principle

The AN8045M-E1 uses an internal pass element, which is a voltage reference network and an error amplifier, to provide the desired output voltage. The output voltage is set by a divider network of external resistors. The voltage applied to the input pin is regulated to the desired output voltage. The voltage reference network provides a constant voltage reference to the error amplifier. The error amplifier compares its reference voltage with the output voltage.
