AOZ2255EQI-30 is a simple and compact DC to DC buck converter power module designed to reduce the size and weight of the final system. Coming in an8-Pin MLPQ Package, it is suitable for a variety of applications including those in consumer, industrial, and communication systems. It is also compliant with the latest safety directives.Application FieldThe AOZ2255EQI-30 is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as audio and video signal processing apparatus, audio system, LED driver, OLED display driver, mobile devices, white goods, security system, household appliance, handheld device and industrial or automotive systems. The most common applications for the AOZ2255EQI-30 include DC to DC converters for 3.3V / 5V / 12V power supplies, isolated power supplies, step-down converters, buck DC to DC converters, and integrated planar magnetic high-efficiency motor drives. Working PrincipleThe AOZ2255EQI-30 DC to DC buck converter module operates according to the principle of current mode switched buck-boost converter. A series of switches connected in a bridge circuit is used to regulate the current flow so that the desired output voltage is obtained. The operational principle of the module is based on the adjustable current regulator, which consists of two N-MOS transistors (see the diagram). The DC voltage is divided into two parts internally, with one part connected to the ground. The connection of the internal switches is continuously changed so as to increase and decrease the current in the transformer.The AOZ2255EQI-30 module provides up to 17A of output current, with an adjustable output voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. It can deliver up to 95W of power in conversion efficiency values up to 96%. The maximum input voltage of 48V makes the AOZ2255EQI-30 suitable for applications that require high input voltages.The AOZ2255EQI-30 is also equipped with numerous functional features such as protection from overvoltage and undervoltage, over-temperature protection, over-current protection, thermal shutdown, and accompanying fault Conditions.Finally, a two-zoned copper stage is used to provide low-profile power delivery and reduce power losses.
