The anode side is plated with aluminum oxide, while the cathode side is conductive.In operation, the capacitor works like a conventional diode, with electrons being emitted from the anode side and entering the electrolyte. As the electrons enter the electrolyte, they interact with the aluminum oxide, and this creates an electrical field across the electrolyte. This electrical field helps store energy on the anode side of the capacitor and charge the capacitor.The stored energy can then be used to provide a steady current to the capacitor as needed.
