The electrolyte is usually a gel or liquid paste made from a blend of alcohols, petroleum, esters, and other organic materials that can be used to create a conductive medium with the capacitor’s dielectric layer. This dielectric layer consists of an exceptionally thin layer of electrically conductive oxide or film formed on a metal film.
