Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors (AECs) are the most common capacitors utilized today. AECs are composed of two non-conductive aluminum foil electrodes with a porous sandwich of aluminum oxide electrolyte material in between. Connected to these electrodes, is usually a thin sheet of solid electrolyte in the form of a metal oxide. The anode foil is generally the positive electrode while the cathode foil is the negative electrode.

The AVS475M25A12T-F is a general purpose aluminum electrolytic capacitor used in various electronic applications because of its exceptional electrical and thermal characteristics.
