Working principle of AVS476M50F24B-F
The working principle of AVS476M50F24B-F aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the electrochemical double-layer formed on two separated electrodes. The anode is made of aluminum foil and has a large area of contact with the electrolyte, while the cathode is made of much smaller aluminum foil and is connected to the anode through rivets. When power is applied, electric current flows through the electrolyte, causing an electrochemical reaction. This reaction produces an anodic oxide layer on the anode and a cathodic oxide layer on the cathode. This oxide layer prevents further electrolyte from penetrating inside the capacitor and reduces leakage current, thus increasing the performance of the capacitor.
