Diodes, also known as rectifiers, are essential components of modern electronic equipment. In quasi-logic mode, the array is used to emulate digital signals without making physical connections. The working principle of the BAV70-E3-18 diode array is simple. When the Schottky diode is blocked, the MOSFET acts as an open switch. This allows current to flow from the source to the load when the voltage applied to the anode is greater than the voltage at the cathode. When the voltage applied to the anode is lower than the voltage at the cathode, the Schottky diode is now forward biased. This allows current to flow from the load to the source, essentially reversing the flow of current. The source follower stage amplifies the signal and reduces contact bounce and transients.
