The BAV70M-TP is a diode-rectifier array primarily consisting of two PNP (positron-negatron-positron) transistors. This device is typically used to provide a high speed, low side, comparatively low voltage drop rectifier, in combination with an NPN (negatron-positron-negatron) transistor flow control element. This device is ideally suited to applications such as DC to DC converters, fly-back quasi-resonant DC-DC converters, voltage stabilizers, or for the purpose of allowing for the protection of sensitive loads, such as LEDs or integrated circuits.

The BAV70M-TP rectifier array consists of two PNP transistors arranged in a common base configuration. The collector is connected to the anode output of the device, while the emitter is connected to the cathode output. This arrangement allows current to be drawn through the device in either direction (from the anode to the cathode, or from the cathode to the anode). Current is drawn through the device by applying different levels of voltage to the anode and cathode. When a higher voltage is applied to the anode than the cathode, current is drawn from the anode to the cathode. When a higher voltage is applied to the cathode than the anode, current is drawn from the cathode to the anode.

The operation of the BAV70M-TP is relatively straightforward.
