BC54PASX is a single bipolar junction transistor (BJT). It belongs to the group of transistors, which is mainly used in various operational amplifiers and general purpose amplifier applications. This device is a 3.2 V iCE 8535 (65 mA) voltage dependant transistor family, which offers good parameters and an efficient design even when operated at high temperatures.

The primary purpose of the BC54PASX transistor is its usage as a general purpose amplifier in electronic circuits. The transistor has a DC current gain of around 60, at -50 mA. The total VCE saturation voltage is 250 mV, while its input capacitance is 95 pF. It can support a total voltage range of +50/ -60V and a power dissipation of 80W.

The BC54PASX has different suite of terminals depending on its type. It contains a collector terminal connected with DC power supply, a base terminal used to generate the signal and an emitter terminal connected to ground level. When the base voltage is greater than the emitter voltage, then the electrons start to flow from the collector terminal to the emitter. Thus the current passes from the collector to the base in the opposite direction, and this constitutes as the Working Principle of a BJT.

The major fields that use the BC54PASX transistor are Automotive Systems, Electronics Appliances, HI-FI Audio, Home Safety and Security, and Telecommunications systems. In automotive systems, this transistor is used as a high-integrated current switch for various circuits.
