The board also includes enable pins for selecting the appropriate mode of operation (automatic charge, manual charge and idle mode). In addition, it has a boost switch and a status LED for power on and charge complete status indication.Applications

The chip operates in three different modes: Automatic Mode (A-Mode), Manual Mode (M-Mode), and Idle Mode. In A-Mode, the device automatically switches to the appropriate regulation current and to a trickle charge when the battery is nearly full. In M-Mode, the user can manually select the appropriate current limit and charging termination voltage settings. In Idle mode, the chip automatically releases the system power and will allow the system to enter low-power mode. The BQ25060 chip provides monitoring features such as over-temperature protection, over-current protection, and switching frequency adjustment to ensure safe and efficient charging of the battery.Conclusion
