The BQ25100YFPT is an advanced fully-integrated stand-alone linear charger designed for rechargeable system. These linear chargers are designed to charge single-cell Li-ion & Li-Polymer batteries and address a wide range of applications. The BQ25100YFPT is part of the PMIC – Battery Chargers family and it has been designed to provide a complete protection to the battery while charging. This charger is a low-cost, efficient and compact solution that can be integrated in any industrial, consumer or automotive device.

The BQ25100YFPT features a high efficiency linear charger and an integrated power path controller with low quiescent current. The linear charger includes an integrated DC-DC boost converter for pre-charging of the battery and an adjustable constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) charge algorithm. The power path controller operates in parallel with the linear charger to provide a constant current and voltage source to the device to supply the operating current and maintain the battery voltage during charge and discharge cycles.

The BQ25100YFPT is designed to provide simple, but comprehensive charge management system while providing a wide range of protection features. It offers overvoltage protection, over temperature protection, reverse current protection and short circuit protection, to ensure the system is safe to use.
