TVS diodes, also known as transient voltage suppression diodes, are devices used to protect other components from transient voltage spikes, also known as ESD (electrostatic discharge). The BZT03D91-TR is a particular type of TVS diode, and is commonly used to protect equipment and components from uncontrolled voltage spikes.
