1. Describe

The CC1100ERGPR is a Sub-GHz high performance radio transceiver designed for very low power RF applications. It is suitable for use in the 470-510 MHz and 950-960 MHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) and Short Range Device (SRD) frequency bands. The CC1100ERGPR is ideal for 470-510 MHz wireless applications targeting the Japanese ARIB STD-T96 and Chinese short-range device specifications. The CC1100ERGPR RF transceiver integrates a highly configurable baseband modem. The modem supports various modulation formats and has a configurable data rate up to 500 kBaud. The CC1100ERGPR provides extensive hardware support for packet processing, data buffering, burst transfers, clear channel assessment, link quality indication, and radio wake-up. The main operating parameters of the CC1100ERGPR and the 64-byte transmit/receive FIFO can be controlled through the SPI interface. In a typical system, the CC1100ERGPR will be used with a microcontroller and some additional passive components.

        - Automatic Frequency Compensation (AFC) can be used to align the frequency synthesizer to the center frequency of the actual received signal

        - Integrated analog temperature sensor

        - Flexible support for packet-oriented systems; on-chip support for sync word detection, address checking, flexible packet lengths, and automatic CRC handling

        - Efficient SPI interface; all registers can be programmed in one "burst" transfer

        - Digital RSSI output

        - Programmable channel filter bandwidth

        - Programmable carrier sense (CS) indicator

        - Programmable Preamble Quality Indicator (PQI) for improved protection against false sync word detection in random noise

        - Supports automatic clear channel assessment (CCA) before transmission

        - Supports Link Quality Indicator (LQI) per packet

        - Optional automatic data whitening and de-whitening

        - 400 nA sleep mode current consumption

        - Fast start-up time; 240 μs from Sleep to RX or TX mode

        - Separate 64-byte RX and TX data FIFOs
