CC2D25-SIP is a high-precision wide-ranging relative humidity service module. It integrates a precision capacitive humidity sensor element and a high-performance 8-bit micro-controller into a single package.

How it works? In this module, a dielectric polymer film is usually used as a humidity sensor. This film is made up of two layers of polymer, which are connected electrically in parallel, each with a length of 1mm. When the polymer is exposed to air, the moisture in the air is adsorbed by both layers in different quantities. Due to the difference in adsorption, the capacitance of the film increases. The module’s microcontroller measures this increase in capacitance and uses this data to calculate the relative humidity of the environment.
