CD4051BM96G4 is an analog switch and multiplexers/demultiplexers (MUX/DEMUX) integrated circuit. It is a product of Texas Instrument (TI). This device is used to route a single digital signal to multiple outputs, or multiple digital signals to single output. It is composed of one 8-channel Multiplexer (MUX) and one 8-channel DeMultiplexer(DEMUX). Both MUX and DEMUX are non-inverting analog multiplexers/demultiplexers.

Working Principle
