Thryistors, also known as thyristor switches or thyristor phase control circuits, are solid-state semiconductor switches used in a variety of electronic applications. TRIACs, or TRIode for Alternating Currents, are thyristors that are specifically designed for alternating current. Specifically, the CQ220I-6BS is a type of TRIAC.
