It configures internal components and expresses the integrated clock\'s output, using the phase-locked loop (PLL) concept and on-chip frequency dividers, for any frequency and/or phase match requirements. Frequency synthesis is achieved, via a programmable frequency source, a phase-locked loop (PLL) and an internal ‘divide by N’ frequency divider. The frequency can be modified, swept or frozen, by changing the driving frequency and control divider values. The internal logic and dividers offers programming flexibility to meet the edge rate distortion and amplitude requirements in the communication interface based systems.
