DC1796A-H is an evaluation system designed by Linear Technology. It is designed to bridge the gap between the Voltage-to-Frequency-Converters (VFCs)/Analog-to-Digital-Converters (ADCs) and high voltage medium voltage (HV/MV) power supplies. This board is a versatile and almost universal device that does the job of both a voltage-to-frequency-converter (VFC) and an analog-to-digital-converter (ADC).

The board provides full-duplex communication, which allows two-way communication between the host processor and a monitoring and control system. This board utilizes the following layout: two-channel digital input/output ports, two-channel analog input/output ports, flash memory, and a USB port.
