DF2S6P2CTC,L3F Circuit Protection

TVS diodes are components designed to protect electric circuits from high-voltage transients, potentially damaging events of short duration characterized by a rise in voltage beyond the sustained ratings of the target circuit. DF2S6P2CTC,L3F are a type of TVS diodes and are suitable for a variety of applications, including automotive, communications, and consumer electronics.

DF2S6P2CTC,L3F devices are multilayer Transil diodes configured in a Bi-directional configuration that limits the power dissipation even in the event of multiple events of high energy. It is capable of supporting a peak pulse power of 600A in the specified 8/20μs waveform and is designed to protect the target device or system against a large range of overvoltage transients. With a capacitance rating of 4.2pF (typ.) and a clamping voltage of 35V, it is suitable for use in high-speed data line protection applications across a wide voltage range.

DF2S6P2CTC,L3F has excellent electrical characteristics which makes it suitable for operations from very low voltages up to 14.4V, and it\'s provided in a compact SOD-123F form factor. This makes it a great choice for applications with space limitations. It offers a very wide global operating temperature range of -55 to +150°C and it is UL certified.

In terms of its working principle, when a surge voltage is applied, the DF2S6P2CTC,L3F turns on immediately and begins clamping the voltage at its clamping level. This process dissipates the voltage surge, eliminating its damaging effects and protecting the target circuit. This self-extinguishing process is what makes Transil diodes different from other surge protection methods.
