DG413DY-E3 Application Field and Working Principle

The DG413DY-E3 is a device in the family of Interface - Analog Switches, Multiplexers, Demultiplexers. The device is an analog switch which is meant to transfer signals between different points in different circuits. In its most basic form, the switch will be able to move the signal from one port to another, depending on the input voltage level.Specifically, the DG413DY-E3 is a quad SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch which can control up to four switch channels. Each channel has a dedicated input port, an output port and a control terminal (CT). The device is powered from a single +5V supply rail and features low “ON” resistance of 15 Ω max. It is also RoHS compliant.The most common application of the DG413DY-E3 is to transfer an analog signal between two points in different circuits. With the input signal applied to the input port and the control terminal connected to ground, the device will move the signal to the output port. The output port is securely isolated from the input port, so no DC coupling is required. Additionally, the switch isolates the two circuits from each other, eliminating any potential electrical interference.The distinctive feature of the DG413DY-E3 is its ability to switch high voltage signals up to ±15V, along with low level logic signals from the common +5V supply.
