DG413FEUE+ is a member of the DG413 devices, which are high-speed CMOS analog multiplexers/demultiplexers and switches. The device features high-density integration of buffers and switches configured as 4:1 or 1:4 multiplexers/demultiplexers in one 8-pin package. The DG413FEUE+ is an improved version of the earlier DG413FE device, with enhanced performance, improved thermal stability and an extended temperature range.

The DG413FEUE+ device is an excellent choice for high-speed analog, low voltage signal switching and multiplexing/demultiplexing in telecommunications and instrumentation uses. Its high-speed and low power CMOS construction make it easy to incorporate into systems requiring accuracy, stability and reliability. The device is equipped with four switch/multiplexer channels, each with low ON-resistance of typically 20 Ω and three analog control inputs. The ON-resistance matching between channels is better than 1.5 Ω.

The DG413FEUE+ is designed with several safety features which help ensure consistent, reliable performance over time. The device has temperature drift compensation, which keeps the resistance characteristics consistent over temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C. In addition, there is a protection diode to limit current transients when the inputs or outputs are shorted together. Finally, the device has prebiased OFF-state protection, which helps prevent parametric shifts.

The analog switches and multiplexers in the DG413FEUE+ are selected through three control logic inputs (A0, A1, and A2). A logic high on any of the A0, A1, or A2 control inputs will select the corresponding channel for conduction; an intermediate state (logic low) of these control inputs will result in an OFF state. The exact selection of channels and state can thus be controlled by proper logic of the control inputs.

The DG413FEUE+ operates over a wide range of input and output voltages, supporting single supply operation from 2V to 10V. This makes it ideal for applications requiring low voltage switching. The device also features a wide analog dynamic range. On the input side, it can handle input signals up to a maximum of ±45V (DC plus peak AC), and with a maximum of pins at +10V (DC plus peak AC), it can handle output signals of up to ±10V. The low power consumption and low OFF-state leakage make it suitable for battery-powered applications.

The DG413FEUE+ is an ideal choice for many low voltage high-speed switching and multiplexing/demultiplexing applications. It offers high-density integration of buffers and switches, excellent admissible parameters, and excellent OFF-state protection. The device can also be used in synchronous and asynchronous designs, making it a very versatile solution for high-speed analog signal switching applications.
