The DG418DY+ series of analog multiplexers are dual 4 x 1 Muxers that utilize E-series switching arrangements for several internal design features. They are perfect for applications such as stereo parameter selection or any application requiring selecting one of several input sources to a single output. Designed mainly for consumer and professional audio applications, but can be found in many other types of applications such as medical, telecom and test & measurement.
The DG418DY+ series multiplexers are CMOS logic devices that are easy to use and provide reliable operation with a very low operating current and have wide output voltage swing. The device is available in a 16-lead Plastic Small Outline Package that is RoHS compliant and has a high performance, high efficiency CMOS design.
The DG418DY+ series has high off-isolation between channels, input switches, high slew rate and low power consumption. Additionally, the device features an internal ESD protection, a lockout bar to disable unused channels, and an E-series operating mode for superior isolation, as well as data sheet-specified temperature drift and power supply rejection ratio specification. This series of devices also feature an adjustable logic threshold input and low impedance outputs.
The working principle behind the DG418DY+ series of analog multiplexers is relatively simple.
