Enter DG509ACJ+, a single monolithic integrated circuit that combines functioning of quad analog switch and dual multiplexer with demultiplexer functions.

The DG509ACJ+ consists of four SPST switches operating with low power supply voltages (1.2V logic) and low quiescent current (15 microamps). In addition, to provide high switching speed, the DG509ACJ+ utilizes FETs in source follower configuration. Depending on the selected option, the device can be operated as follows: as four-channel analog switch between two low-impedance source signals, two high-impedance sources, two low-impedance sources and two low-impedance outputs; as a dual multiplexer or demultiplexer. Also, the chip boasts of very high off-state accuracy of up to 5mV.

Applications of the versatile DG509ACJ+ include analog signal routing, switch mode power supplies, test and measurement instrumentation, audio and video switching, and data acquisition systems. Switching time of the DG509ACJ+ is sufficiently fast, as low as 5ns, to be used with most modern high-speed data-acquisition systems.
