The active-low control bits G1 and G2 control the decoding of the Input Selection bits (A – D) to the size of the data latch, while the active-low control bits G3 and G4 control the decoding of the YOutput Selection bits (Y0 – Y7). This allows the user to select whether the IC functions as a multiplexer or demultiplexer.

The DG9263DY is capable of switching both ac and dc signals, with on-resistance as low as 8 ohms. When operating in a multiplexer configuration, the on-resistance is a maximum of 20 ohms and the sample and hold is a maximum of 2ns. It has a low power consumption – typically only 12 mW when all switches are closed.
