<p> The DRV5053CAQLPG is a high precision Linear, Compass (ICs), Magnetic Sensor. This device is ideal for use in applications where detecting the presence and/or orientation of a permanent magnet is required. It is capable of direct measurement of magnetic fields in the range of ± 500 milliTesla (mT) and offers an accuracy of up to 0.1% of the absolute measured field. Its small size, low power consumption and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for low power, mobile and/or outdoor applications. </p><p>The DRV5053CAQLPG magnetic sensor is typically used in navigation systems, allowing positioning and tracking of an object. The device utilizes a 3-axis magnetic field sensing system, which is capable of detecting magnetic fields in the x, y, and z directions as well as cycloidal fields. It also provides a compass mode, which can be used for directional heading accuracy up to 0.2 degrees. The sensor features an onboard ARM Cortex M0 processor to allow for programmable functions such as rotations, averaging commands, filter coefficients and Gaussian noise. </p><p>The DRV5053CAQLPG magnetic sensor is available in a flip-chip package and is capable of both analog and digital outputs. The analog outputs provide 16-bit resolution accuracy for each of the three axes. The digital outputs allow the user to select several digital communication protocols, including I2C, SPI, UART, and RS485. This device also features a low power wake-up mode to reduce power consumption when not in use.
