DRV5055A4QLPGM Magnetic Sensors - Linear, Compass (ICs)
The DRV5055A4QLPGM from Texas Instruments is a magnetic sensing integrated circuit (IC) that includes a Hall linear array and compass technology to differentiate the direction, magnitude, and position of magnetic fields. It can measure both long-term changes (magnetic drift) and short-term changes (magnetic pulse) in magnetic field strength. It also has a low power consumption that enables it to be used in portable devices.The DRV5055A4QLPGM magnetic sensor IC has two main components: a linear array of Hall effect cells and a three-axis compass IC. The linear array is sensitive to the direction of the magnetic field along the whole array, while the compass IC is sensitive to the orientation. The compass IC has two signals (SX and SY) for navigation and also provides additional signals (CPS and QS) for calibration and diagnostics.When the DRV5055A4QLPGM is powered up, the linear array and compass IC begin working simultaneously.
