Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits refer to a type of electronics equipment that are constructed with distinct components and integrated circuits. In addition, the board allows for a flexible, modular selection of application specific hardware and software, as well as a variety of component integration options.

For designer\'s starting out, the DRV591EVM also offers easy-to-use software to facilitate setup, tuning, and validation. It includes a PC-based motor control software package called Motorware. This software provides a graphical, user-friendly environment that eliminates the process of manually programming and debugging the application firmware. The tool automates controller functions such as start-up, shut-down, fault-containment, and motor speed/torque control.
