The DS1085LZ-25B2+ is a versatile and reliable clock generator, programmable frequency synthesizer, phase-locked loop (PLL) IC developed by Texas Instruments. It is one of the most advanced clock and timing ICs due to its extremely high frequency input, output and PLL execution speed; superior holdover performance and internal Phase-Frequency Detector (PFD) and loop filter compensation. The versatility and wide range of options of the DS1085LZ-25B2+ make it suitable for a number of applications requiring accurate timing.
The DS1085LZ-25B2+ has a wide range of input frequencies from 10MHz to 300MHz, but also offers an integrated crystal oscillator (XO), which ensures that the part can generate output frequencies from as low as 31MHz up to 300MHz. The part has three outputs, two single-ended outputs and one adjustable differential output. All three outputs can be programmed to frequencies anywhere between 31MHz and 300MHz with a resolution of better than 1ppm.
The integrated PLL of the DS1085LZ-25B2+ allows the part to synthesize frequencies with a high degree of accuracy and resolution. The DS1085LZ-25B2+ is a hybrid of a clock generator and programmable frequency synthesizer.
