The DS1088LU-829+T clock generator from Texas Instruments is a high-performance, low-jitter, low-noise clock synthesis device designed for telecommunications and networking requirements in the frequency range from 47.27 MHz to 829.76 MHz. The DS1088LU-829+T also contains a low-jitter, low-noise digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) circuitry to provide clock synthesis.The programmable frequency-to-voltage converter accepts a digital input from the microprocessor, which is used to program the device. It then produces a voltage-controlled voltage output that is used by the DCO to adjust the frequencyoutput setting. The DCO\'s digital output clock is then used to enable or disable the clock generator\'s DPLL circuitry, depending on the power-saving requirements.The DS1088LU-829+T clock generator also contains an internal temperature compensation circuit to maintain accurate and stable operation over varying temperature changes.
