The DS1306E gives rapid deployment of Extremely Dependable, Auto-Centric, Low-Power, Real-Time Clock/Calendar (RTC) in a Tiny 8-pin Package with Low-Power CMOS Technology and is suitable\ for abundance of applications that requires significant timekeeping accuracy. It is an all-in-one, atomic reference manager that gives superior accuracy in no time.
The DS1306E is an extremely low power and easy-to-use Real Time Clock/Calendar, with an internal crystal oscillator. It is integrated with an on-chip Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator and an on-chip temperature compensated reference to provide highly stable conditions for accurate time keeping. This device has the ability to automatically wake the system from standby, synchronization with the external clock, and adjustment of the system time clock. The DS1306E supports a wide range of operating voltages, from 1.8V to 5.5V, making it ideal for a variety of applications.
The DS1306E is a Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) that allows for quick and easy backup of small amounts of data. It provides an ideal solution for time-sensitive data, as it keeps time for up to 8kb of data with a low power consumption of only 10μA when used with a voltage of 2.7V. The DS1306E also has a battery backup, so no power is needed to keep the time.
The DS1306E is a highly advanced RTC, with advanced features such as on-chip temperature compensation, auto-calibration, and a high accuracy of ±0.178 s/day at 0º C to 60º C.
