The DS1685EN-5+T&R is a real-time clock (RTC) module that serves as a timekeeping device within a system or device. It integrates a high precision timebase, 256 bytes of static RAM, 32 kHz, and a programmable battery switch circuit on the same IC. The RTC also features multiple frequency outputs, an alarm interrupt and a temperature sensor. The clock/calendar can have its time and date being set by an internal PLL, or external crystal oscillator circuit.
