DS2505/T&R

The DS2505/T&R is a non-volatile memory device (also referred to as a non-volatile RAM) that stores data even when the power supply is turned off. It is also known as a “Write-Once-Read-Many” (WORM) memory device.

The DS2505/T&R has two operating modes: write mode and read mode. In write mode, data is written to the device via a serial interface. In read mode, data is read from the device via the same interface. The write mode is used to store data in the device, and the read mode is used to retrieve data from the device.

Each page of the device is organized as 4K x 8-bit words, with a total capacity of 8K-bits per page. Data can be written one page at a time, or multiple pages can be written at once. The device supports the writing of up to 8 pages concurrently.

The device has an internal temperature sensor that monitors the ambient temperature and can be used to trigger a write cycle. Additional security features, such as encryption and authentication, are also supported.
