DS3695ATMX/NOPB is an integrated chip primarily used in electronic circuits and components as an interface, driver, receiver and transceiver. The DS3695ATMX/NOPB is a high-performance biCMOS 8-bit transceiver. It features two independent transceivers, each with an integrated charge pump, level shifter and high-performance receiver. The transceiver converts between double-data-rate (DDR) and single-data-rate (SDR) data formats. The transceiver has two differential side-mounted ports, each containing an 8-bit serial data path (SDP). It also includes a 3-wire asynchronous control port (ACP) for controlling the direction of the data, driving the output enable, drive enable and reset signals.
The transceiver can operate as a full-duplex transceiver or as a half-duplex transceiver. In full-duplex mode, data is transmitted and received on both sides of the transceiver simultaneously. In half-duplex mode, data is either transmitted or received on one side of the transceiver while the other side receives no data. This makes the transceiver well-suited for applications that require data to be transmitted and received at different rates, or for applications where data needs to be transmitted and received at the same rate, but with different timing parameters.
The DS3695ATMX/NOPB includes two differential clock inputs for controlling the data transfer rate. The clock inputs are active when the components are in full-duplex mode. In half-duplex mode the clock inputs are active for transmitting data only. The device also includes a sync input for synchronizing transmission and reception of data in both full and half-duplex modes.
The transceiver also includes an output enable signal which is used to control the data transmission. When the output enable signal is high, data is enabled to be transmitted from the SDP port. When the output enable signal is low, data is disabled from the SDP port. The output data is formatted according to the user-defined data format settings. The transceiver can also handle asynchronous clock pulses which can be enabled or disabled in various configurations.
The transceiver also has an integrated level shifter which allows the device to operate over a wide range of input signal levels. This makes the device well-suited for a variety of signal environments such as USB, UART, and Ethernet. The level shifter is controlled through the ACP port and can be configured to shift the input signal levels from one side of the transceiver to the other.
The transceiver also includes a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) or a low-power double-data-rate (LPDDR) driver. This driver is used to drive the output data signals on both sides of the device. The driver is controlled through the ACP port and can be configured for either LVDS or LPDDR. In addition, the device includes a current-mode logic (CML) regulator which helps prevent signal degradation due to voltage swing. The CML regulator can also be configured for either LVDS or LPDDR.
The DS3695ATMX/NOPB is therefore ideal for use in electronic circuits and components where signal integrity, signal strength, signal conditioning and voltage and current control are essential.
