The DS96176CN is a low-power, cost-effective optical transceiver family designed to enable high-performance, low-power data communications over optical fibers. This transceiver family is ideal for use in applications that require data transmission over short distances of up to 300 meters, such as industrial process control, automotive and other embedded system applications, local area networks, and home security systems.The DS96176CN utilizes transmitter and receiver signaling techniques to transmit and receive data between connected equipment. The DS96176CN is equipped with a data rate of up to 2.488Gbps and up to four-channel Links. The DS96176CN transceiver uses an array of optical transistors, photodiodes, and associated electronics to convert data signals between electrical and optical form.The DS96176CN supports four distinct opto-electrical interfaces: the LC duplex fiber optic connector supporting one or two fiber connections; the SC fiber optic connector supporting one fiber connection; and the Single-fiber with wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) supporting two fiber connections for data transmission in both directions.The DS96176CN offers a range of features, including low power consumption, high-speed communications, and long-distance transmission. It also supports data rates of up to 2.488 Gbps and transmission distances up to 300 meters. In addition, the DS96176CN offers an extended temperature range (-40 to 85°C/-40 to 185°F) support, high tolerance against optical power (up to 8 dBm) and low jitter levels.The DS96176CN utilizes 6-pin transmit and receive cables to connect the transceiver to an internal or external device, such as a PC or a router. The dual-channel and single-fiber WDM interfaces also feature a built-in diagnostic LED that provides immediate real-time diagnostic feedback. This LED will light when it detects electrical or optical signals, allowing quick and easy troubleshooting.The DS96176CN supports single-mode, MMF, and SMF optical fibers, allowing easy integration into existing networks. Its simple design makes the transceiver easy to install and use, making it a reliable and cost-effective solution for short-distance communication applications.Furthermore, the DS96176CN supports AES-128 encryption, providing a secure pipe for data transmission from one point to another.
