Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, also known as “Al-caps", are a type of capacitor commonly used in electronic circuits. They are constructed from a solid anode of aluminum foil and a liquid electrolyte. A thin oxide layer is formed on the aluminum foil, and this acts as a dielectric layer. The oxide layer is very thin, making aluminum electrolytic capacitors very effective at storing electrical charge. The oxide layer also has the ability to self-regenerate if it is damaged, making aluminum electrolytic capacitors more durable than other types of capacitors.The most common type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor is one designated with a “E37F351HPN392MCD0M”.
