Solid State Relays are devices which enable electrical control of high powered electrical circuits by using a small control signal. The EL240A30R-05 is a type of solid state relay, which has application fields that are both residential and commercial, and which can be used for a range of projects. Thermal relaxation ensures that the current flows through the contacts over time even in the absence of the external voltage. Extinction occurs when a short pulse is applied to the control terminals, inducing a reverse polarity field in the coil, which forces the contacts open. Another feature of the EL240A30R-05 is its digital output function. This feature is enabled by a built-in photoelectric isolator in the input driver and the output side of the relay. With this digital output, when voltage is applied to the control terminals, isolation between output and input keeps the two values completely different, eliminating interference between inputs and outputs.
