The EL7532IY-T13 is a continuous-mode, high-efficiency DC/DC synchronous-step-down power conversion module providing 12 V/30A output from a 36V input. This power module uses current mode and adaptive on-time control to ensure reliable and robust operation while maintaining high efficiency. It integrates analog and digital components to maintain the output voltage within 0.1% accuracy. The flyback and linear post regulation design provides over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short circuit protection.

The EL7532IY-T13 offers very high efficiency with a maximum output current of 30A, enabling high power system designs. The device offers fast transient response time making it ideal for switching power supplies, battery charging applications, LED lighting, and more.

The EL7532IY-T13 can operate in fixed frequency or auto mode to sense the output current. The high peak current capability ensures the ability to drive high capacitive loads. The input voltage range can operate from a minimum of 36V to a maximum of 60V. The output voltage is adjustable through the voltage mode control. The output current sense is achieved through the current feedback pin.

Working principle

The EL7532IY-T13 DC/DC converter provides 12 V/30A output from a 36V input using a synchronous buck topology. It employs a current-mode and adaptive on-time control architecture to ensure reliable operation while maintaining a high efficiency. The input voltage range spans from 36V to 60V. The output voltage is adjustable and can be set anywhere between 0.8V and 12V. The device operates in fixed frequency or auto mode, in which the switching frequency is adjusted based on current conditions. The oscillator frequency range is adjustable via an external resistor and is factory-set to 200 kHz.

The EL7532IY-T13 has a high peak current capability to drive large capacitive loads. The device also features a fast transient response for quick load turn-on or turn-off. For enhanced reliability and protection, the device includes overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuit protection.
