The EVAL-AD5665REBZ2 Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) evaluation board is a part of Analog Devices, Inc. It is an easy-to-use evaluation platform. The evaluation board allows users to evaluate the performance of the AD5665 in applications such as motor speed control, industrial automation, digital signal processing, and instrumentation systems. This evaluation board also provides an efficient design platform to evaluate the AD5665’s audio output performance.

The EVAL-AD5665REBZ2 Evaluation Board was tailored to form an ideal development platform for a broad variety of DAC applications. It consists of the AD5665 Quad 8-Bit DAC IC, an 8x Buffered Voltage Output Stage, an onboard temperature sensor, two serial ports, and an I/O connector. It uses an external voltage reference source of 2.5V and can operate at up to 37°C in the presence of air. All the features of the board can be programmed and controlled using a computer software interface, such as LabView. The board also contains two linear Regulators which are adjusted to support input voltage from 8V to 36V.

The working principle of the EVAL-AD5665REBZ2 DAC Evaluation Board is based on digital-to-analog conversion. The AD5665 Quad DAC IC contains four 8-bit data registers and an 8-bit DAC register. Digital input signals, such as audio or sine waveforms, are converted into binary form and stored in the data registers.
