Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) serve as an important step in the analog signal acquisition and processing process. As signals are converted from analog, it is then possible to analyze, store, and manipulate them as digital values. To help facilitate the development and testing of these conversion projects, evaluation boards were developed built as testing platforms with integrated instrumentation so that the designs can be tested and verified in the most efficient way. The EVAL-AD7367SDZ evaluation board is a full evaluation platform for the AD7367 24-bit high-speed analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This platform provides several features, including low-noise operation and wide input range, that can efficiently be tested and verify the design.The AD7367 24-bit ADC is designed to convert analog signals into digital ones with high precision. It provides an excellent dynamic range and offers precise, low-noise analog input performance. It is capable of sampling up to 500 kHz while providing a low-noise performance up to 1.3 MHz. The ADC is designed to include a 3.3V supply as well as a 3.3V analog input range, thus making it suitable for use with low-voltage data converters and signal conditioning components.The EVAL-AD7367SDZ board is built around the AD7367 ADC and features a wide input range of ±2.5 V, ±5 V, and ±10 V. It also offers the capability to select the reference voltage used for sampling, either internal or external. The board incorporates a multiplexer to allow the user to select either the internal or external reference voltage. The board incorporates two 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with a differential output and allows for single-ended input.The board is designed to power both the ADC and the external components, and includes a power management system with a precision voltage regulation for the external components. It also includes a temperature sensor with a resolution of 0.25°C and a thermistor for accurate temperature control. The board features both a 12 MHz clock and a 20 MHz clock for increased sampling accuracy.The EVAL-AD7367SDZ board provides a comprehensive feature set which can be easily used for testing and evaluation. It includes an extensive data logging facility, digital I/O control, and several test and verification features. It is compatible with the Analog Devices\'s data visualization software, which can be used for data log recording and analysis, signal processing and timing calculations. It also provides software support for debugging and troubleshooting.In addition to the features of the EVAL-AD7367SDZ board, the board also includes a USB interface, allowing for easy connection with computers. The USB interface allows for programming, transferring of data and debugging from a PC.
