The EVAL-AD7652EDZ Evaluation Board is a versatile Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) module, designed to enable engineers to quickly and easily evaluate the features of the AD7652 analogue-to-digital converter. This board allows testing and development of a variety of signal conversion and signal processing applications, such as: image processing, data acquisition, medical instrumentation, and expression control.The EVAL-AD7652EDZ contains an integrated programmable logic device (PLD) controller, allowing for storage of complex timing sequences in the board. It also includes an AD7652 analog-to-digital converter, a power supply, a high-voltage digital signal processor (DSP) and a digital display. The board provides a single platform for testing multiple ADCs.The AD7652 supports a wide range of analog input ranges, from Single-ended uni and bi-polar voltage sources to fully differential inputs from sine waves and triangular wave form inputs. The AD7652 is an ideal ADC solution for applications requiring high speed sampling. It provides over 28-bit, low noise, integrated performance with sampling speeds up to 1 GSps.The EVAL-AD7652EDZ Evaluation Board consists of two main components: the AD7652 itself and the programmable logic device (PLD) controller. The digital signal processor (DSP) is used to sample the analog input signals and perform digital signal processing. The digital display provides a convenient means of monitoring the properties of the signal.The PLD controller is used to control the ADC. It uses three I/O connections to communicate the control instructions and the data transfer instructions from the Host Computer to the board. The I/O lines are used to:1. Read the input signal and convert it to AD7652\'s compatible signal.2. Read the digital display and monitor the performance of the signal being evaluated.3. Transmit control and data signals back to the Host Computer. The evaluation board contains a power supply to facilitate the ADC and the digital signal processing operations and a high-voltage isolation power supply to provide additional protection for the sensitive digital boards.The EVAL-AD7652EDZ Evaluation Board provides a highly consistent and reliable testing solution for the AD7652 ADC. It is an effective tool for engineers to evaluate the features and performance of the device, and to quickly and easily develop, test and validate analogue-to-digital conversion systems. The EVAL-AD7652EDZ provides a single platform for testing multiple ADCs, which can greatly reduce development time and cost.
