EVAL-AD7654CBZ is an evaluation board based on the AD7654, a low-noise, 16-bit, successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It is a powerful tool for developing and evaluating applications for analog-to-digital conversion. The EVAL-AD7654CBZ can easily be equipped with all necessary components and connection pins for evaluation purposes.The AD7654 is a high-performance converter with a nominal signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 71 dB and signal-to-noise-plus-distortion (SNDR) of 71 dB. It features an integrated barrel shifter to control gains for amplitude and gain settings independent of a master clock. A hardware ‘cascaded zeroes’ auto-zeroing algorithm reduces spurious noise. Low power consumption (2.7 - 5V @ <150mA) and high data rates (up to 1.44 MSPS) make it ideal for portable applications.EVAL-AD7654CBZ can be used in wide range of applications. It is particularly suitable for data acquisition, measurement, medical imaging, signal analysis, consumer electronics and industrial applications. It is an optimal solution for any application where high performance, low power, low costs and/or low noise are key requirements.The EVAL-AD7654CBZ is designed to operate off of any 5.0V analog power supply. A reference output voltage of 2.5V is available to set the full-scale voltage input range. The EVAL-AD7654CBZ can operate over a wide range of supply voltages (2.7V to 5.25V). All components, including the AD7654 core and associated peripheral components, are populated on the board. The EVAL-AD7654CBZ board includes a twelve-channel digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can be used for analogue gain control and also a fast on-board amplifier (OPA). The built-in sample-and-hold (SH) circuit enables acquisition of signals down to 1microV. A built-in all pass filter reduces flicker noise. The EVAL-AD7654CBZ board enables parallel data acquisition by providing up to 16 pins for data output. It supports both 16- and 8-bit serial data formats (SPI and I2C). The board also includes a range of test points and test circuits to monitor all relevant signals.In summary, EVAL-AD7654CBZ is a powerful evaluation board based on the AD7654 16-bit ADC.
