Working Principle:
The EVAL-ADE7751ZEB is a complete reference design that includes printed circuit boards, schematics, layout, a design guide and the ADE7751 device. The evaluation board consists of four channels of voltage measurements (A, B, C, and N) with a single current sense line for each phase. The device also includes an on-board temperature sensor, a 32-bit RISC processor, a voltage reference, three EEPROMs, and an LCD display.
The ADE7751 measures the instantaneous voltage and current. It then integrates these signals and produces outputs which are used to calculate the active power, reactive power, and total energy for the measured load. The device can measure the voltage, current, active power, reactive power and total energy with high accuracy over a wide range of input signal amplitudes.
The EVAL-ADE7751ZEB is designed with an integrated 32-bit RISC processor. The RISC processor includes an embedded 16-bit instruction set and a dedicated Instruction RAM and Data RAM. This allows for the device to be programmed to interface with other systems and measure other parameters in addition to those listed above. It can also be used to perform data logging, provide alarms, and display information on the LCD.
