Introduction
EVAL-ADT7X10EBZ is a high-accuracy temperature-to-digital converter evaluation board based on the Analog Devices ADT7X10 series. It is designed to allow engineers and researchers to easily evaluate and use the temperature-to-digital converter family of products for a variety of applications. The ADT7X10 series is a highly capable, versatile family of temperature-to-digital converters. The evaluation board is intended to facilitate the use of the evaluator\'s own software to control the device over its I2C interface. The evaluations board is a direct-to-evaluation platform with no separate evaluation software required and provides access to all the control, data and diagnostic features of the device.Application Field
The ADT7X10 series of evaluation boards are primarily designed for industrial applications, such as cooling monitoring, environmental monitoring, fan speed control and motor/drive control. These boards are also well suited for medical electronics applications, such as patient monitoring, vital sign monitors, and temperature controllers. Additionally, they can be applied in avionics, and automotive applications for engine, battery and transmission control.Functionality
The evaluation board supports all functional blocks of the ADT7X10 family. The board includes a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller for board control, a 10-aspect secondary thermistor for crowd sensing, a high-accuracy 3-wire RTD interface, a 12-bit digital-to-analog output and a range of digital control functions. The evaluation board also includes a multi-slot temperature database for recording temperature readings from up to four external thermistors, enabling it to be used for a variety of applications. Other features of the board include auto-calibration and an I2C-compatible open serial interface. The board includes a USB-to-I2C bridge that provides a plug-and-play interface to I2C devices.Features
